HAYDARPAŞA URBAN DECK
The project is a renovation of the existing building which has not being used since 1986. It is located next to Haydarpaşa Railroad Terminal, one of the most important symbols of İstanbul.
A plaza is designed in front of the building, surrounded by green and paved with timber, it extends towards the sea and strengthens the relationship by creating an amphi that runs through the coast. Modular timber demountable structures are integrated into the project to accommodate various activities and to define the urban plaza.
In the renovation project, the structural system of the building is aimed to be protected while consolidation and brick covering are envisaged for the columns. By providing high quality indoor and outdoor spaces, the building aims to accommodate various eligible restaurants.
