GAZİ TECHNOPARK EXPANSION PROJECT

The project area is a 70.303 sqm. piece of property located in the Technological Development Campus of Gazi University which sits across the Mogan Lake along the Ankara-Konya road.

The project was designed with the idea of enveloping the gird-like sections of the site that were created by the existing buildings and the solar-power supported parking area. This holistic approach to the site was also reinforced with the idea of wrapping a dense green area.

DIAGRAMS

The Technopark offices can be defined as new generation offices that are intertwined with their natural surroundings around a big courtyard. These offices are low rise offices that obtain their energy through nature and are exposed to an abundant amount of natural light. These offices were designed to have a simple structure with terraces overlooking the green surroundings while being lifted off the ground. This design also allows for some garden offices at the ground floor level. With its inclined roof, the offices have ample space for the use of solar panels. Along with this, the incorporation of natural ventilation and energy efficiency into the design puts Gazi University at the forefront of many solar panel supported energy efficient campuses.
